Hostal Escuils is located in the charming village of Unha, just 4 km from the Baqueira Beret ski resort, 11 km from Vielha, 30 km from France, and within easy reach of Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park.

Our welcoming accommodation has 10 non-smoking rooms, all of them double rooms with a maximum occupancy of 2 adults (+18 years) per room. Each room features a private bathroom with a bathtub, hairdryer, heating, television and electric kettle.

Cooking is not permitted in the rooms.

From 1 September 2026, we offer accommodation only. Breakfast service is not available.

Everything you need for a perfect stay

In addition, the hostel offers free Wi-Fi, an outdoor solarium with a garden, ski storage, and complimentary showers on departure day. Directly across from the hostel, guests have access to a large, free public parking area and electric vehicle charging stations (for a fee). Unha also boasts a rich culinary scene and attractions such as the Snow Museum, the Church of Santa Eulalia, famous for its 12th-century frescoes, and the Eth Poi d'Unha Via Ferrata.

Fantastic!! We had a much better time than at home. Maria Ángeles is a wonderful host; she took excellent care of us. Our stay was full of thoughtful touches, from her recommendations for dinners and local attractions, to a fantastic breakfast, and even a surprise on Three Kings' Day morning. The rooms are nice, with comfortable beds and everything we needed, plus lovely welcome gifts. Parking is easy right behind the hostel, with good access to the ski storage and the hostel itself. We will definitely be back.

The welcome at Hostal Escuils was the warmest I have ever had. The bedroom and bathroom are extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and the basics (tea bags, cakes, toiletries etc) are refreshed daily if needed The standard is way above what you would expect from a hotel in this category. The wifi works well. The parking could not be more convenient. But if all of that is not enough to convince you, I am happy to say that Maria and her mother are the best hostesses you will ever find!

I travel for work and stay in many hotels and accommodations, but I must say this is one of my favorite places I've ever stayed. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. The owner, Maria, was extremely kind and helpful. It's clear she cares deeply about her guests' well-being and wants them to enjoy their stay. She goes out of her way to assist you, provide information and advice, and so on. She even left chocolates and champagne in our room for New Year's Eve and gave us a Christmas present for January 6th. These small personal touches made our stay truly special.

We have been a few days at Hostal Escuils (Unha) and the experience could not have been better. It is a family hostel where the treatment is very personalized and, from the first moment, they made us feel at home. Maria Àngels and her family have taken care of us from the first moment. Highly recommended, very clean and the best place to stay in the Aran Valley. Also highlight the honey that Dani makes (also from the family), which is delicious and is a km 0 product.

Small, family-run B&B with very friendly and welcoming service. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. A traditional Catalan breakfast was served. Wi-Fi is available, although you need to find a spot with the best signal. The biggest drawback for us was the lack of a common area. However, it offers excellent value for money. The back garden is lovely. The daughter, Maria, speaks fairly good English, but the parents don't. Even so, they were very kind and made a great effort to understand us. Highly recommended.

Probably the best place to stay in the Aran Valley. M. Ángeles is a sweetheart; she'll help and take care of you like no one else ever has. She was born to do this, without a doubt, and she does it exceptionally well. The beds are comfortable, the heating is fantastic, the shower water is perfect, there's parking right outside, ski storage, a ski pass included with the accommodation, and the breakfasts are delicious and incredibly generous—amazing! Angeles's service is outstanding; she's attentive to every detail and provides lots of information and recommendations. The breakfast is very complete and delicious. The room is spacious with a large wardrobe and a comfortable, large bed. There's an outdoor garden with tables and chairs. Situated in Unha, a small exceptionally pretty village this small guesthouse is close to a number of great restaurants. Our host, Maria was most welcoming and helped us with bookings and really useful advice on places to visit and the local area. The rooms were kept exceptionally clean and there was attention to detail in all aspects of our stay. The breakfast is great. The pace is a short walk to Salardu which has bars etc. but we were always relieved to return for a quiet night

It was one of the best stays of our lives. No exaggeration. Communication was precise and very quick. The location is excellent, with parking right in front of the back door. The rooms are very comfortable and at a good temperature. The owners' hospitality is unbeatable, and the breakfast is amazing. Very nice and clean. It's super close to the ski slopes. The management was very friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious, with pastries baked on-site. Although it doesn't have its own parking, there's a large free parking lot right behind it.

The hotel is small (10 rooms) and simple (just the essentials). The rooms are clean and comfortable and well heated. The owners are very helpful and friendly and offer a simple but copious breakfast. Once you learn the the backdoor of the hotel opens onto the municipal car park behind the hotel, the usual hassle of bags and ski becomes a delight. The lack of restaurant in the hotel is no problem since there are six restaurants in Unha all within a few minutes walk of the hotel. If you have time take a look inside the village church. There are some amazingly conserved wall paintings - some from the 12th century.
